Sunday, March 31, at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, saw the Delhi Capitals overcome the Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs, thereby registering their first victory of the 2024 Indian Premier League. The Delhi Capitals scored 191/5 in their 20 overs thanks to half-centuries from David Warner (52 off 35 balls) and Rishabh Pant (51 off 32 balls). Then, with 3/21 from Mukesh Kumar and 2/22 from Khaleel Ahmed, the home team held the reigning champs to 171/6.
After winning Player of the Match, Khaleel Ahmed remarked, “I had been waiting a long time to play for the team.
I just backed it up and didn’t give the opposition a chance after realising early on that I was getting a strong swing. Your understanding of your game will increase with continued play. Since I’ve been playing nonstop for six months, I’ve learned to understand my body, my game plans, and how to play through little niggles. The domestic season was the reason behind everything; it gave me good confidence going into the IPL and it’s been a great feeling,” he continued.

Gaining momentum and realising the positive aspects of your play and areas for improvement is what happens when you win. This victory answered a lot of our questions and will simplify how we approach our upcoming games,” he said.
On Wednesday, April 3, at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders will play in the 2024 Indian Premier League.
