By revealing alleged WhatsApp exchanges between Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, and PCB president, Zaka Ashraf, former cricketer Rashid Latif caused a commotion. Babar appeared to confirm in these conversations that there were no conflicts among team members. Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has offered his viewpoint in response to this continuing dispute, saying that…
“It is highly irritating of Rashid Latif to have disclosed someone’s private conversations. He is making fun of both the nation and its athletes.
‘Main yeh kahunga yeh ghatiya harkat hay, bohat hi ghatiya harkat hay. Kisi ka private message kis trah dikha sakte hain TV pe aur wo bhi captain ka? Humaray players ko khud itna badnaam kar rahe hain. Agar chairman ne bhi yeh harkat ki hay toh bohat ghatiya harkat hay’ – Shahid… pic.twitter.com/49oAXk7F3E

Shahid Afridi went on to say that he had heard Rashid Latif’s claims that Babar tried calling the PCB chairman but got no response. Leaked WhatsApp talks have become a bigger problem as a result of this problem, which worries Afridi—especially if the chairman was the source of the leaks.
“I had previously heard Rashid Latif in the media stating that Babar had called the chairman and gotten no response from him. The entire Whatsapp chat “game” has been played to refute this claim. Why would they broadcast live on television someone’s private messages? Afridi went on.
What has happened between PCB management and Babar Azam thus far?
Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, and Salman Naseer, the president Operating Officer (COO) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), had a private chat that was made public amid rumors that Zaka Ashraf, the PCB president, was not responding to Babar’s attempts to get in touch. Salman asked about the rumors that Babar had been attempting to get in touch with the PCB chief without success during the leaked talk that was shown on a Pakistani television channel.
In response, Babar denied having tried to contact Ashraf.
When former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif said that PCB president Ashraf had cut off contact with Babar and voiced concerns regarding the unpaid salaries of Pakistani cricket players for the previous four to five months, the situation became more heated. The interaction between Babar and the COO of the PCB was revealed in the WhatsApp messages that were leaked, which gave this matter even more impetus.
