Following their victory in the first Test match held in Hyderabad, England lost the series 1-4 as they lost four consecutive Test matches against India. While the inexperienced spin attack could hardly be considered a threat, their middle-order batters collapsed spectacularly, and Indian batters never looked uncomfortable in the middle. The team’s captain, Ben Stokes, expressed his displeasure with the visitors’ performance as well, saying that they should have learned from it and will put in more effort come summertime in England.
In the meantime, spectators were observed making fun of England’s bazball strategy during the fifth Test in Dharamshala. In a widely shared video, they could be heard singing, “Bazball gets battered everywhere they go.”
Jonny Bairstow, who was positioned close to the boundary, was seen becoming agitated and responding to the crowd in a way that was incomprehensible.

Still, in the wake of a humiliating series loss, England’s Bazball strategy is currently under investigation. Its performance against good teams is troubling, and several former cricket players have criticized it as irresponsible. But after the loss in Dharamshala, captain Ben Stokes gave an explanation of what Bazball genuinely represents, emphasizing that it encompasses much more than just playing a physical style of cricket.
“Everyone asks, ‘What is it?’ About the media name Bazball:. It’s the desire to improve as a player, in my opinion. ESPNcricinfo cited Stokes as stating, “Hopefully, Bazball will inspire people to become better players and become even better than what we are in the face of defeat and failure.”
Since Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum assumed leadership of the Test team, this was England’s first series loss. The experts, however, are beginning to doubt its usefulness because Australia has managed to hold onto the Ashes and has lost a series to India, and it hasn’t helped them perform well against strong opponents or under pressure. As things stand, England won’t immediately alter their strategy because their players are best suited for playing that style. Since the team lacks consistency, they would want to concentrate on that.
