Jofra Archer, who has missed the last four matches for the Mumbai Indians due to an elbow injury, is uncertain about his return to the team. This month, the 28-year-old fast-bowling sensation made his IPL 2023 debut for the Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy.
Prior to the 2022 tournament, the five-time defending champions recruited Jofra Archer, but he was unable to participate because of an injury. However, he returned to cricket earlier this year and was anticipated to play a significant role in the IPL 2023 campaign for the Mumbai Indians.
“Clearly, the last two weeks have not been precisely what you would have hoped for after being so active. However, this is to be expected after a lengthy absence: the body will not be 100 percent immediately. There will be times when it will feel much more dire than it actually is. In a conversation with Cricinfo, he stated, “I don’t know which game will be next, but I’m putting myself in the best possible position to play.”

The England star hopes to make a speedy recovery from injury and contribute to his team’s success in the tournament’s 16th edition. Speaking about his team’s recent performances, the pacer said that the atmosphere in the camp has been lifted since the Mumbai-based franchise won its third consecutive game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
“I still want to bowl fast and all that, but when you feel nice, you bowl well. I just want to concentrate on feeling fine right now. It’s a fantastic franchise, and I expect to have the chance to win a few games for them. We’ve won more games than we’ve lost, which is a significant improvement over last season, so everything is going well and the tone in the camp is positive, the pacer added.
