If India wins their next match and advances to the Super Four stage, the 29-year-old is fully healthy and might play. Mohammed Shami is extremely likely to return to the playing XI in his place because the match against Nepal is a game of life or death for both teams. A team will advance to the next round of the Asia Cup if they manage to record their first victory.

In contrast, India’s top order completely failed to deliver against players like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah during the match against Pakistan.
