With their fierce hitting, Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel took the Gujarat Titans bowlers to task, enabling the Delhi Capitals to reach 224/4 in their 20 overs. At the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the Capitals captain continued to be unbeaten as he reached 88 off just 43 balls, smacking eight massive maximums and five boundaries.
With his best IPL score of 66 (from 43 balls), Patel played effectively to earn his second IPL fifty. Sandeep Warrier bowled well for the visitors, recording figures of 3/15 in his 3 overs. After getting rid of Prithvi Shaw and Jake Fraser-McGurk in the same over, the seasoned pacer got Shai Hope to register his first IPL century.

Anrich Nortje’s dismissal of Shubman Gill for six, which Axar caught, caused him to fall early. With some hilarious hitting that left the home team and its supporters in disbelief, Wriddhiman Saha and Sai Sudharsan spearheaded the comeback.

In Kuldeep Yadav’s second over of the innings, he hit Wriddhiman Saha with a long hop. Axar Patel made an incredible grab to record his 100th IPL catch as the seasoned GT wicketkeeper and hitter struck the ball directly at him.
Half-century off 29 balls for Sai Sudharsan
With just 29 balls remaining in the game, Sudharsan reached his first IPL fifty of the year. Before finding his rhythm with the bat, the youthful batter was brutal against Anrich Nortje.

In order to ensure a quick turnaround in the game, the home team’s field players and bowlers increased their performance. Axar Patel took Azmatullah Omarzai’s wicket after Saha was out, and Jake Fraser-McGurk caught it for a single.

As the Gujarat Titans were losing wickets consistently, Rishabh Pant applied further pressure. With the necessary ascent, the Delhi Capitals were able to gain a significant edge in their pursuit of victory.

In his last over of the innings, Kuldeep Yadav let five singles off of five balls. Kuldeep took his second wicket of the match when Rahul Tewatia attempted to slug a wider one outside off-stump but instead edged the catch to Pant.
David Miller: 50 off of twenty-one balls
Anrich Nortje could only watch in disbelief as his countrymate hammered him to all areas of the ground in the 17th over, with David Miller hitting 24 runs off the four overs that Gujarat Titans needed to score.
Gujarat Titans: 184 overs yielded 200 runs.
The Titans are now back in the game and have a chance to win it out of the blue with to David Miller’s fast knock. In order to push the score beyond 200 and draw the Titans into the game, Sai Kishore hit Rasikh Salam Dar for two sixes.
DC wins the game by a score of four runs.
With 19 runs needed from the last over, Rashid Khan struck first against Mukesh Kumar, hitting the ball for four. As the equation showed 11 runs from 4 balls, the following ball also went for four. To ease the Delhi Capitals’ fears, Mukesh Kumar bowled two dot balls. As the game continued to twist, the penultimate ball went for six, making five runs from a single ball. DC maintained their playoff hopes with a significant victory in the IPL 2024.
