On September 17, 2018, R Ashwin, one of India’s most renowned off-spin gurus, became 38 years old. It is therefore not surprising that the team captained by Rohit Sharma, who is in Chennai now getting ready for the forthcoming home Test series against Bangladesh, made sure to mark the occasion.
When the ace spinner was finished with the ceremony,, R Ashwin’s colleagues splattered his face during the cake-cutting moment in the dressing room where Team India had gathered. The gifted wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant and wrist leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav teamed up to share the humorous moment in a photograph that is going popular on the internet. The two cricket players shared the popular photo in story mode on their individual social media accounts.
In addition, Ashwin received kind greetings and a birthday song from the Indian squad as he sliced the chocolate cake, demonstrating his deft spin moves. It appeared as though Pant revealed his infamous side and started the cake-smash motion, inspiring other players to join in on the fun. It’s interesting to note that since 2018, Pant and Ashwin have bonded well both on and off the cricket pitch.

R Ashwin will play against Bangladesh at home on September 19
Speaking of the birthday boy, in November of 2011, Ravichandran Ashwin made his Team India Test debut against a competitive West Indies team. In the Test format alone, Ashwin has already claimed over 500 victims. In the context of all international cricket matches, the Chennai-born player has amassed over 700 wickets.
In addition, he has held a number of astounding records over the years. With just 18 Test matches under his belt, the star spinner became the fastest-ever Indian to take 100 wickets. He is now ranked tenth among bowlers in Test history in terms of overall wickets taken; the only other Indian spinner on the list is Anil Kumble.
Ravichandran Ashwin will currently be returning to international action after a protracted absence from his home country. On September 19, Team India will take on Bangladesh in the first Test match in Chennai, where records are awaiting the arrival of “Ash Anna,” as he is affectionately called.

For those who are unaware, Ashwin will surpass Kumble as the spinner with the most wickets on Indian soil if he takes 22 more wickets during the two-game Test series. Therefore, the off-spinner will be hoping to get off to a fast start against the Bangla Tigers in the World Test Championship match.
