The India Women’s team will take part in a 10-day skills camp at the NCA in Bengaluru, ahead of the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates next month. Starting on Tuesday, September 10, the camp will be supervised by head coach Amol Muzumdar.
On Monday, all of the players, including the reserves, will be in Bengaluru. This also applies to the two players, Yastika Bhatia and Shreyanka Patil, who were part of the 15-man roster due to their NCA-certified fitness.
Yastika Bhatia, who sustained a knee ailment, and Shreyanka Patil, who suffered a finger fracture, both passed their fitness tests and gave their consent to attend the camp.
After Bhatia’s left knee suffered a grade 1 PCL tear during the first of five T20I series to be played in Bangladesh in March, she was admitted to the NCA.
However, Patil suffered a broken left hand during India women opening Asia Cup match against Pakistan in July 2024.
In addition, the team will practice for the World Cup with two intra-squad games that are expected to be played under lights. The 2020 World Cup runners-up will play three of their four games under the lights, with the exception of their Group A encounter against Pakistan on October 7 in Dubai.
