Cricket South Africa (CSA) recently released the schedule for the Men in Blue’s four-match Twenty20 International series against the rainbow nation, which will take place in November 2024.
On November 8, the first game of the series will take place in Durban. After that, the last three matches will be held in Johannesburg, Centurion, and Gqeberha, respectively. The competition will conclude on Friday, November 15.
The last meeting took place in December 2023–24 for an all-format series, therefore this would be India’s second tour to South Africa in the past 12 months. The opening game of their most recent Twenty20 International series was called off owing to weather, leaving the score knotted at one.

“I would want to express my gratitude to the BCCI for their unwavering support of both South African cricket and cricket worldwide. Every Indian cricket team tour to our shores is full of incredible camaraderie and thrilling cricket. I know our fans will be excited for this series, which will highlight the outstanding talent from both teams,” CSA Chairperson Lawson Naidoo was cited as saying in a board release.
India and South Africa have always had a close and solid relationship, in which both countries take great pride, according to Jay Shah, the BCCI Secretary. Fans in South Africa have always shown the Indian cricket team a great deal of affection and gratitude, and the Indian fans feel the same way about the South African team. I have no doubt that the forthcoming series will showcase the best cricket players on the pitch once more and provide exciting, high-stakes matches.

Due to the short notice of the South Africa tour, a different team is anticipated to visit the rainbow nation. Notably, India will host New Zealand for a multi-format series until November 5, 2024. Additionally, on November 22, Australia will welcome India for a multi-format series that will begin with the first Test in Perth. Consequently, depending on the format modification, there may be distinct squads.
