Cricket fans are now faced with a challenge in the form of Ahmedabad’s high accommodation rates as anticipation for the eagerly anticipated India versus Pakistan match in the forthcoming World Cup grows. Attending the high-stakes event has turned into a pricey affair with costs exceeding INR 50,000 every night.
To solve this problem, however, fans have devised a novel strategy: they have asked nearby hospitals in Motera, near the Narendra Modi Stadium, to provide them with lodging for the event.
Interested cricket fans who want to spend one or two nights in the hospital have reportedly contacted hospital officials in large numbers. These stays cost between Rs 3,000 and Rs 25,000, and the package typically includes food and a thorough medical exam.
Fans will find this twin-sharing option, where a patient and an attendant can remain together, to be a more reasonable option than the excessively rising hotel rates.
According to Dr. Paras Shah
Director of Sannidhya Multi Speciality Hospital in Bhopal, “Since it’s a hospital, they are asking for a full-body check-up and an overnight stay so that both of their purposes—saving money on lodging and getting their health checked—are achieved.
The medical director of the hospitals, Dr. Nikhil Lala, shared similar thoughts, saying, “We too are getting inquiries for 24-48 hour stays in our hospital, particularly around October 15 as we also have a full-body check-up package.” He continued, “This is because of the forthcoming World Cup India-Pakistan game, which is slated for October 15. Similar to our hospitals, it appears that the situation is the same in other city hospitals. We are considering releasing additional health packages as a result.
One of the most eagerly awaited events in cricket is the India-Pakistan match. The only competitions where spectators may see this fierce showdown are the ICC competitions and Asia Cups because the arch-rivals rarely play bilateral series. India defeated England with the very last ball in their previous matchup during the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. It was a gripping contest.
After games against Afghanistan and Australia, India’s third World Cup match is against the United States on October 15. The unique travel plan selected by cricket fans, as the excitement for the game reaches a fever pitch, demonstrates their everlasting love and dedication to seeing this historic event.
The cricketing world eagerly anticipates the titanic confrontation between India and Pakistan as fans continue to discover novel methods to watch it.
