According to recent rumors, Team India captain Rohit Sharma misplaced his iPhone before India-Australia faced off in the third one-day international of the just finished series at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Notably, the seasoned opener was practicing in the nets before the third ODI when the Hitman’s phone vanished. According to My Khel, the information that Rohit’s phone was lost soon spread around the internet. The captain, though, did not appear to be too bothered by the subject as he displayed his talent against Australia in the last ODI.
It is important to note that Rohit missed the first two One Day Internationals of the series but made a triumphant comeback for the series’ final match in Rajkot. Rohit made certain to leave a lasting impression despite India losing the game. India attempted to chase down a target of 353 runs but only managed to score 286, with Rohit scoring the most runs with 81 in 57 balls. However, Australia eventually won the match by 66 runs, thus it was not enough.
India’s World Cup campaign begins with a match against Australia.
Team India will be preparing for the forthcoming ODI World Cup 2023 after finishing the 50-over series against Australia. The team will have unrivaled home support behind them as they host the major international event in its entirety for the first time. It’s also important to remember that India will play two exhibition games against England and the Netherlands on September 30 and October 3, respectively, prior to the start of the ODI World Cup.
On October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, they will also play Australia to start their World Cup campaign. Team India will be able to better prepare tactically after recently defeating the team in an ODI series, and they will be optimistic about a successful opening to the main event. Australia, who lost all three of their one-day international matches against India, will be eager to improve and will be hoping for a different outcome.
