The 57-year-old’s tenure as the Pakistan team’s coach during the 2023 World Cup was noteworthy. Grant Bradburn role did, however, change in November 2023 as a result of a coaching staff reorganization by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“All coaches will continue to work at the National Cricket Academy, while the PCB will announce the new coaching staff in due course for the upcoming series in Australia and New Zealand,” according to an official statement released by the PCB.
The PCB later appointed former cricket player Mohammad Hafeez as head coach. After losing the most recent Test series 0-3 to Australia, Pakistan will begin their five-match Twenty20 International assignment in New Zealand on January 12.
Grant Bradburn also conveyed his best wishes for Pakistani cricket’s future at this time. “Wishing the teams, staff, and everyone at Pakistan Cricket continued success and growth.”
Bradburn, who alternately represented Northern Districts in the 1980s and 1990s and participated in seven Tests and eleven ODIs for New Zealand, is about to embark on a new chapter in his coaching career as he is about to take over as the Glamorgan coach in the UK. An official announcement is anticipated shortly.
He leaves behind a legacy with this decision that reflects both his dedication to the game and his departure from the world of international coaching.
