After losing to Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 49 on Wednesday, April 30 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the five-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were eliminated from the IPL 2025.

When Prabhsimran Singh was bowled by Noor Ahmad in the thirteenth over, he stepped down the pitch and tried a tremendous heave but was unable to reach the ball’s pitch. The shot soared through the air after leaving the bat’s toe end. After running to his right and getting beneath it, Matheesha Pathirana lost what should have been an easy catch.

A moment of careless fielding from CSK caused the ball to slip through the hands of the Sri Lankan cricketer, even though he had both hands on it.

Eventually, in the last ball of the over, Noor Ahmad picked up the wicket of the batter. The batter was caught in the deep by Dewald Brevis after scoring a well-made half-century and helped PBKS to cross the victory lines.
