After the 14-year-old’s fearless performance helped Rajasthan Royals defeat Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, Vaibhav Suryavanshi touched MS Dhoni’s feet in one of the most heart-warming moments.
The incident occurred at the traditional handshakes following the Rajasthan Royals’ six-wicket victory, and the video of it went viral on social media. The CSK captain appeared to commend the boy for his 33-ball 57, including four sixes and four fours, however it is unclear what they discussed. This was Suryavanshi’s second fifty plus score of the tournament.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who hit 36 runs off 19 balls, and Vaibhav opened the innings together, giving their team a solid start. Sanju Samson, the captain of RR, too scored 41 runs off of 31 balls. The Rajasthan Royals won the match in 17.1 overs thanks to Dhruv Jurel’s undefeated 31 runs off 12 balls. The Rajasthan Royals finished the 2025 Indian Premier League season with four victories from their 14 games.
