Suryakumar Yadav gave ratings to some of his best shots and explained why. The enjoyable activity was held in the Star Sports studio prior to the Mumbai Indians vs. Delhi Capitals IPL 2025 63rd match at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. He was initially asked to score his scoop shot against Jofra Archer during the MI vs. RR IPL 2020 match.

Before playing the shot, the star batter said that the previous delivery had struck his helmet, thus he gave it a perfect score of ten out of ten. Despite not having used that specific stroke till that point in the season, he stated that he was willing to risk losing his wicket in order to execute it.

After asking about the shot’s preparation, the interviewer enquired as to whether the MI batter prepares such shots ahead of time for particular deliveries or if the instinct comes naturally, depending on the ball. “I plan my shots based on the field placements,” Suryakumar retorted.

Rain threat looms over MI versus DC IPL 2025 clash

Yadav acknowledged that his intense net practice frequently causes his desired strokes to become stuck in his head. The middle-order batter stated that he always has a clear mindset before completing any of these shots when the interviewer questioned if he ever doubted his decision to take the chance.

According to the weather forecast, MI’s next game against DC at Wankhede Stadium may be impacted by rain. MI won by a stunning 12-run margin the last time they played DC, extending their winning streak to six straight games.

As of the now, Delhi is in fifth place in the points standings, and Mumbai is in fourth. One berth is left to qualify for the playoffs, since the Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have already done so. Both teams may find MI vs. DC to be a virtual knockout.
