On May 29, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) spinner Suyash Sharma defeated the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 at Mullanpur. The victor of the ongoing game will receive a direct ticket to the final.
Suyash Sharma stepped in to bowl the eighth over and made his presence known on the second ball.
Shashank Singh received a poor delivery from the spinner. The hitter attempted to slog it across the line, but missed utterly, and the ball crashed into the leg-stumps.
Suyash struck Musheer Khan with a brilliant delivery on the sixth ball of the same over, sliding on with the angle. The hitter completely missed the shot, and the ball struck his pads. Musheer appealed the ruling, but ball-tracking revealed three reds, resulting in a double-wicket over.

Suyash then returned to bowl the 11th over, dismissing Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis with his third ball. The right-handed batter attempted a sweep but failed, resulting in a shaken leg stump.
In the end, RCB totally dominated PBKS, dismissing them for 101 in 14.1 overs. Suyash was particularly impressive, going 3 for 17, while Josh Hazlewood also contributed with 3 for 21.
RCB must chase 102 runs in 20 overs to secure a position in the IPL 2025 finals, which will be held on June 3 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
