Agu Stanley, a popular African content maker, recently posted a video of himself mimicking Rishabh Pant’s legendary somersault celebration, which went viral. The southpaw celebrated after returning to form with a stunning century in Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) final league match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
After an unsuccessful season as both a hitter and captain, Pant finished with an undefeated 118 off just 61 balls. The 27-year-old wicketkeeper-batter was promoted up the order to No. 3 ahead of the in-form Nicholas Pooran, and he blasted the RCB spinners all over the park, hitting 11 fours and eight towering sixes.
However, the moment became more special with Rishabh Pant celebration after reaching the three-figure mark.
Instead of just raising the bat, he performed a cartwheel. His previous century came way back in 2018 for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) against Sunrisers Hyderabad. This was also his maiden century in LSG colours and the first as captain in IPL. In the video posted by the creator saw he was recreating the entire celebration.

Despite the massive total of 227 set by Pant and his side, RCB pulled off a solid chase thanks to Jitesh Sharma’s heroics. The defeat saw LSG exit of IPL 2025 without reaching the playoffs. Meanwhile, Pant, the IPL’s most expensive buy at INR 27 crore, came under immense criticism throughout the tournament for his poor form.
With only 151 runs in his first 12 innings at an average of just 13.73, many questioned whether the franchise had overpaid, as he finished the season with 269 runs in 13 innings. LSG outbid Punjab Kings and others for Pant’s services, hoping he would bring new perspective and star power after KL Rahul’s release but it was not to be.
