On Sunday, May 4, during Match 54 of the current Indian Premier League between the Punjab Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants, Shashank Singh held onto an outstanding catch at deep point to get rid of Rishabh Pant. This ended Pant’s 18-run knock off 17 balls.
The delivery was aimed across the southpaw by Azmatullah Omarzai. Pant lost control of his bat and it ended up in the square leg area, despite his best efforts to hit the ball to the on-side. The ball was cut in the direction of the offside. Shashank’s comfortable pouching of the ball made the catch appear effortless. The middle-order batsman was being approached by the ball at a respectable clip.

Last but not least, PBKS defeated the Pant-led team by 37 runs.
Because of his brilliant innings, Prabhsimran Singh (91 off 48) was declared the Player of the Match. Arshdeep Singh was the ball’s star. Three wickets were taken by the left-arm seamer during his allotted four overs.
Following this triumph, the team captained by Shreyas Iyer moved up to the second spot in the standings. It will be the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala that hosts two of their next three group-stage matches.
