Arshad Khan fell awkwardly twice in the same over during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The left-arm seamer was scheduled to share the new ball with Mohammed Siraj at the massive arena. He raced in to deliver the first ball from over the wicket to Aiden Markram. He fell on the side of the boot, not the spikes. He slid and fell, much to the surprise of the players and supporters, and the physio came out to help him.
After a little break, he resumed bowling. He was scared, and rightfully so, since he fell awkwardly on the left side of his body. Arshad delivered a wide and allowed two boundaries before slipping once more as he prepared to bowl the fifth ball of the over. Following that, the ground crew scraped and poured sawdust onto the landing spot.
The physio checked on Arshad Khan, and the 27-year-old resumed bowling.
He finished the over well, surrendering only one run on the final two balls. However, after finishing the over, he left the pitch and was replaced by Mahipal Lomror.

Meanwhile, LSG got off to a strong start, with opener Markram and Mitchell Marsh scoring 53 runs during the powerplay. Meanwhile, LSG has been eliminated from the playoff chase and is playing for dignity following a mixed season. Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, have advanced to the next stage along with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Mumbai Indians (MI), where they will compete for a spot in the top two to increase their chances of qualifying for the summit battle.
