Recent news has revealed that Allan Donald, a former fast bowler for South Africa, has been named the bowling coach of Durban’s Super Giants for the next SA20 2025 season. Notably, January 9, 2025 is the scheduled start date of the league.
The Indian team’s current bowling coach, Morne Morkel, served as their coach for the first two tournaments. In addition to the former South African icon, the coaching staff already boasts a distinguished roster: head coach Lance Klusener, assistant coach Sridharan Sriram, fielding coach Jonty Rhodes, and strength and conditioning coach Jason Douglas. Durban verified Donald’s incorporation into their establishment on their social media handle.
2019 saw Allan Donald, a 1991–2003 South African representative, inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.
possesses an abundance of coaching knowledge, which he hopes to use to his time with the Giants. In addition, the Bloemfontein native has experience coaching bowling for Bangladesh, New Zealand, and South Africa. He highlights his time spent playing for the Pune Warriors India and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in franchise cricket.

Angry DSG wants to win their first championship in 2025.
DSG is determined to make a big impression this season after placing runners-up in the last SA20 season. They have also added Chris Woakes, Brandon King, and Kane Williamson in addition to Donald.
Proteas internationals such as Heinrich Klaasen, Quinton de Kock, and Keshav Maharaj will remain essential members of the team.

With a leftover purse of 2.35 million Rands, DSG will need to fill three seats in the SA20 2025 auction: one for an open player, one for an open international player, and one for a rookie.
