The Board of Control for Cricket in India, or BCCI, just revealed the 15-member team for the Twenty20 International series against Bangladesh. The man who was given charge of captaining the Indian T20I team in Sri Lanka, Suryakumar Yadav, has been given the captaincy once more.
Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma, who has been out of the picture for over three-fourths of 2024, are the two wicketkeepers chosen. Abhishek Sharma might get to begin the innings in place of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who wasn’t taken into consideration. All-rounders in droves to the team, with regulars Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube, and Washington Sundar leading the charge. After making an impression in the 17th Indian Premier League, Nitish Kumar Reddy receives his first call-up. It is believed that Rinku Singh would bat farther up the order.
The two specialist spinners picked are Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi. The mystery spinner last competed for Team India in November 2021, but he has been present in the T20I setup and has participated in matches as well. He will be looking to continue his success from the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 into the series.
The speedster who became well-known during his two IPL seasons, Mayank Yadav, has received his first call-up to the Indian team. He only played four games in his IPL 2024 campaign when he sustained a side ailment that prevented him from competing.
