Pakistan’s World Cup problems continue as a new incident involving captain Babar Azam leaked private communications on live television has surfaced. Their off-field issues continue to draw attention and spark public reactions in addition to their on-field challenges. It is anticipated that many more details of this tale will come to light in the days ahead.
Despite the central contracts being released during the Asia Cup, local reporters claim that Pakistani cricket players are currently involved in a financial issue with the Pakistan Cricket Board. The players have apparently not received their dues for the last four to five months. The cash distribution is reportedly still waiting, though.
PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf clarified that following the correct procedures was the reason for the payment delay in an interview with ARY News. He explained that the players left before they had enough time to sign contracts, which caused delays in the paperwork and, eventually, the processing of payments. The contracts are presently traveling to India for completion, according to Ashraf.
The last time Pakistan players were paid salaries by the Pakistan Cricket Board was in June 2023. They have not received any salary now for over 4 months #Cricket #CWC23

Closed door for PCB Chairman Babar Azam; leaked intimate conversations
According to a plethora of sources, the captain of Pakistan has been leading the players’ complaints and reaching out to Ashraf, who has reportedly not returned his calls or messages.
Rashid Latif, a former wicketkeeper, supported this assertion. During the interview, Ashraf refuted these claims, claiming that Babar had never gotten in touch with him.
“The chairman has been notified by Barbar Azam for the past two days, but he has not responded. Latif stated on PTV Sports, “He’s been messaging Usman Wahla, the PCB Director, and Salman Naseer, the PCB COO.
The claims were denied by Ashraf, who said, “He [the captain] has never called me.” The captain of the team has a level; he can communicate with the COO or director.
An snippet from ARY News featuring a chat between Babar and PCB COO Salman Naseer is making the rounds on video. A snapshot of WhatsApp shows a communication from Salman asking if Babar had spoken to the PCB Chairman about the matter. The 29-year-old seems to refute making such a call in return.
They leaked Babar Azam’s private WhatsApp chats?

Veterans of Pakistani cricket attack authorities for disclosing conversations
Much criticism has been raised in the wake of the occurrence, mostly in relation to the invasion of privacy. Currently a World Cup analyst, Waqar Younis called the incident “pathetic.”
Ya kya Karna ki koshish kar raha ho aap loog??? This is pathetic !!!
Khush ho gaya aap loog. Please leave @babarazam258 alone 🙏🏽. He’s an asset of Pakistan Cricket @TheRealPCB @ARYNEWSOFFICIAL @Salman_ARY https://t.co/pcM90yUGqy— Waqar Younis (@waqyounis99) October 30, 2023
‘Main yeh kahunga yeh ghatiya harkat hay, bohat hi ghatiya harkat hay. Kisi ka private message kis trah dikha sakte hain TV pe aur wo bhi captain ka? Humaray players ko khud itna badnaam kar rahe hain. Agar chairman ne bhi yeh harkat ki hay toh bohat ghatiya harkat hay’ – Shahid… pic.twitter.com/49oAXk7F3E

The concerned journalist reveals shocking details regarding leaked conversations.
Both fans and former Pakistan cricket players were targeting anchor Wasim Badami, who had first reported on the discussions being released. notably Shahid Afridi, who continued to criticize him personally. The anchor clarified his position on the matter via his official X Twitter.
“As a team, we shared Babar’s communication with a senior PCB official, which was a mistake. To put it succinctly, an hour prior to the event, we were lounging around and decided against making a private chat public. We were sent a clip of Zaka Ashraf saying, “I am giving you this screenshot and I am asking you to show it live on screen,” five or seven minutes prior to the event. We reasoned that since he was taking blame on TV, we could share it. It wasn’t the best choice,” he remarked.
