Former Zimbabwean cricketer Andy Flower will serve as the team’s new head coach, according to Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of the most well-known Indian Premier League (IPL) clubs.
Mike Hesson, the club’s current director of cricket operations, will be replaced by Flower on August 31.
In addition, it is anticipated that the remaining members of Hesson’s coaching staff, including head coach Sanjay Bangar, will leave Bangalore. To share the news with their supporters and admirers, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a message on Instagram.
We are overjoyed to have Andy Flower, a member of the ICC Hall of Fame and a T20 World Cup champion, join the RCB Men’s team as Head Coach. “Andy’s experience coaching IPL & T20 teams internationally and guiding his teams to victories at the PSL, ILT20, The Hundred, and Abu Dhabi T10 will aid in cultivating a championship-winning mindset and advance RCB’s #PlayBold philosophy,” Royal Challengers Bangalore wrote in the caption of the photo.
