Simi Singh, who was born in Mohali, moved to Ireland in search of employment prospects in the hospitality sector. Simi Singh played cricket for Punjab at the under-15 and under-17 levels. His love for cricket was rekindled when he joined the Malahide Cricket Club in Ireland. Singh, who is 37 years old, has represented Ireland in 88 matches across all forms. His father-in-law Parvinder Singh informed the Times of India (TOI) that Simi “developed a strange fever that kept coming and going when he was in Dublin, Ireland, some five to six months ago.”
“He had himself checked out there, but the examinations revealed nothing significant. The doctors there stated that they would not begin treating the patient since they were unable to identify the underlying reason.He said, “We opted to get him treated in India for ‘better medical treatment’ because the process was getting delayed and his condition was declining.
