Manav Suthar, a native of Rajasthan, has declared his participation in the current Duleep Trophy 2024. Suthar, who was representing India C in the competition, had an outstanding performance in the second innings against India D, taking seven wickets.
Had Suthar followed his father’s goal for him in his early years, his career path would have been entirely different. The father of Suthar desired that his son pursue batting.
In Suthar’s early days, his coach was told by his father to “make him a batsman the world fears.” But his coach saw something was off, and he realised the young player had potential as a spinner.
“Sir, this fellow is destined to be a spinner,” my coach informed him. Don’t let him stop. I now have accountability for him. The Hindustan Times cited Manav as adding, “That was that.”
In relation to this, Dheeraj, the 21-year-old’s coach, discussed how the player clutched the ball when he was younger. After his talk was over, he merely needed to work on his technique.
He has a talent for spinning. The way he held the ball was the first thing that caught my attention. Not many boys have that kind of grip at twelve. However, he still needed to nail a few more details. He was doing decent turns, but we had to work a lot on body alignment to make it work. It was a little different in the past, but having poor technique is unachievable if you want to succeed at the greatest level. Thus, we began by focussing on his alignment, which made it easy for him to create a repeating activity,” Dheeraj stated.

Suthar is anticipated to become one of the most well-known figures for India in the future. He has already represented both the India A and the India Emerging teams.
