On Friday, November 8, at Kingsmead in Durban, Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav got into a verbal altercation with Marco Jansen at the end of the first Twenty20 International between South Africa and India. The tense situation had to be calmed down by umpire Lubabalo Gcuma before it got out of hand.
After the second ball of the 15th over, when South Africa was having difficulty chasing a target of 203 runs, the incident took place. As Jansen went on strike after Gerald Coetzee took a single, Samson stood in the deep right of the field and received a throw from long-off. This infuriated Jansen, who appeared to gripe about the Indian wicketkeeper’s placement as he was collecting the throw.
Sanju Samson went up to the South African all-rounder and responded to this.
Additionally, Suryakumar hurried in, and he didn’t seem pleased with Jansen’s response. A verbal altercation broke out between the three before Gcuma, who was positioned at square leg, intervened and put an end to the situation.

India wants to take the lead in Gqeberha twice.
Samson’s scorching century and the inspired spells of spinners Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi helped India easily defeat South Africa in the opening Twenty20 International. Samson scored an incredible 107 from just 50 balls, hitting seven fours and ten sixes. After Aiden Markram requested them to bat first, India concluded at 202/8.
In response, South Africa’s aspirations were dashed when the Indian bowlers claimed three wickets during the powerplay. In the twelfth over, the mysterious spinner defeated the powerful team of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller, who looked unbeatable against Chakaravarthy and Bishnoi. India triumphed by 61 runs after the Proteas were eventually knocked out for 141.
