In the first T20I between South Africa and India on Friday, Sanju Samson‘s century and a brilliant bowling performance helped India win by 61 runs. Although the Indian pacers suffered a defeat, the Proteas hitters were stifled by the spinners’ brilliant performance.
In a recent interview, former South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Mark Boucher praised Ravi Bishnoi for expertly varying the pace of play to keep the opposition batsmen off balance.
“I noticed that some of Ravi Bishnoi’s balls looked a little different, and I believe that he did a great job tonight—especially in the dark—by switching up the seam. As a wicketkeeper, you may occasionally glance at the ball. Examine the ball to see if you can notice it spinning in different directions. “But he muddled his seam up very nicely,” Boucher said on JioCinema.
David Miller wasn’t even picking: Mark Boucher
When speaking about David Miller’s struggles at the crease, especially against Bishnoi, the former Proteas cricket player was blunt. Additionally, he said that the South African bowlers had little influence over the offered purchase.
“David Miller wasn’t even picking. He had to deal with six deliveries, and I believe he missed four of them. He was bowled way too brilliantly tonight, which only serves to highlight the two excellent spinners (Bishnoi and Chakravarthy). On that surface, the bowlers had something to offer. Something the bowlers from South Africa were unable to take advantage of,” Boucher continued.

Miller was pinned at one end by Bishnoi’s brilliant bowling of five dot deliveries to the southpaw in the eleventh over of the run-chase, where South Africa required 125 from 60. Miller and Heinrich Klaasen were dismissed in the very next over.
