Before the September 19, 2024, start of the Test series against Bangladesh, Indian top-order hitter Shubman Gill was recently sighted working out hard in the gym. Gill was clearly included in the 16-man squad that was recently announced by the Indian Board of Control for Cricket. This is the first Test team.
Following his team’s defeat in the opening Duleep Trophy round as captain of India A, Gill appeared to be trying to find a constructive way to deal with his disappointment by working out hard, using a few specialised gym trainers to work out his shoulders, legs, and core.

In the cutting-edge gym, Shubman Gill looked as though he was always eager to push himself to the limit when it came to his fitness.
He was also observed executing a series of plyometric workouts, emphasising his agility. He approached the routine with the same carefree demeanour as his elegant drives.
The 25-year-old, who turned 25 on Monday, intends to use the series against Bangladesh and New Zealand to sharpen his batting technique in preparation for the Border-Gavaskar series later this year.

Gill had candidly stated just a week prior that he had fallen short of his own expectations as a Test player. Gill will want to show his skills in the lucrative series in Australia, where he can demonstrate his technical proficiency in a variety of environments, so the five home Tests will be the ideal preparation.
