Their strong middle order, however, subdued the storm and helped them score 262 runs in total. Pakistan had set a very lofty aim of 317, which appeared somewhat challenging. Even though they had a few strong middle-order partnerships—including fifty-run partnerships between Shan Masood and Agha Salman—they were still unable to prevent Pakistan from winning by 79 runs.
