During his playing career, the great Yuvraj Singh shared the dressing room with the legendary trio of MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli for many years. He is somewhat aware of their human characteristics and playing styles. Yuvraj engaged in an intriguing game of “play, sell, bench” during a recent podcast interview, but he deftly chose to remain neutral when it came to selecting between Dhoni and Kohli.
Yuvraj was requested to select three players for the “play, bench, and sell” game: MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli. Without hesitation, the southpaw named Rohit as the cricket player he wanted to play. In addition to being one of Yuvraj’s best friends, the Indian skipper is respected for his batting and captaincy skills in cricket.
“If it were T20 cricket, I would pick Rohit Sharma as a player. Yuvraj stated on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, “He is a terrific captain and someone who can turn the game with his batting for sure. He will be my first option.
If I were to name one between Virat and Dhoni, I would bench myself as follows: Yuvraj Singh
The 42-year-old made the decision to sideline himself rather than choose between Dhoni and Kohli. If he benched either of the previous India captains, he threatened to make headlines.
“I would put myself on the bench because a name between Virat and Dhoni would make headlines. That is not what I want to occur. I’m going to stay with Rohit Sharma’s name, but we’re all intelligent enough to know who should be on the bench,” Yuvraj declared.
