The renowned all-rounder from India, Yuvraj Singh, recently revealed an unexpected story from his playing career. Singh talked about an incident involving an unidentified Bollywood starlet that happened during India’s 2007–08 Australian trip.
For Yuvraj Singh specifically, it was a difficult tour as he battled form, managing just 202 runs at an average of 22.44 in nine ODI matches and just 17 runs at an average of 4.25 in two Test matches.
The southpaw disclosed a startling circumstance concerning a well-known actress he was courting at the time. The actress travelled to Canberra with him, even though he asked for time to concentrate on the game.
“I won’t name the actress I dated, but she’s a really talented and seasoned performer right now. Adelaide was the location for her shoot. I said to her, “Listen, I need to focus. I’m on tour in Australia. Let’s not meet for a little while.” She rode the bus with me to Canberra. I only got a few runs in two of the tests. “What are you doing here?” I asked. “I want to spend time with you,” she remarked, according to him, in a podcast interview with Club Prairie Fire.

I advised her to concentrate on her career: Yuvraj Singh Singh went on to say that he had to travel with the squad and wear the actress’s pink slip-ons.
He added that he had told the actress to concentrate on her career and that he should concentrate on his cricket career.
“So, we started talking after I met her late at night. I informed her that since I was on a tour of Australia and you knew what that meant, she needed to concentrate on her career and I needed to concentrate on mine. Nevertheless, Mom packed my suitcase for our trip from Canberra to Adelaide,” he said.
“I was like, ‘Where are my shoes?’ in the morning. “I packed them,” she declared. “How would I go on the bus?” I enquired. “Put on mine,” she commanded. These pink slip-ons were hers. And I thought, “Oh my god.” I was carrying my bag in front of my shoes to conceal the pink slip-ons I had to wear. When the boys realised it, they applauded me. Until I bought flip-flops there, I had to wear pink slip-ons to the airport’, Yuvraj said.

Many people assumed that the actress, who Yuvraj did not identify, was Deepika Padukone, who he was purportedly seeing at the time. Since then, Yuvraj has moved on, getting married to Hazel Keech in 2016 and having two kids.
