Yashasvi Jaiswal, a star batter for India, is prepared for the team’s impending home season. Team India will try to put forth their best effort and win under the direction of new head coach Gautam Gambhir.
It is noteworthy that thus far, Gambhir has guided India to victories in both T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka. The former opener has had quite the impact on the team despite the rocky start. Yashasvi Jaiswal recently took centre stage to discuss how Gambhir influences the lineup and inspires players to perform to the best of their abilities.
“Yes, I did talk to him when the Sri Lanka series was going on. He gave us a lot of support when he told us to go play freely and have fun; we’ll be there to support you. It lets us play with fearlessness and gives us a lot of confidence,” IndiaToday cited Jaiswal as adding.
Working hard in the nets in preparation for the Bangladesh series and the Duleep Trophy: Yashasvi Jaiswal
It is noteworthy that Yashasvi Jaiswal is practicing for the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 at this time. India will play multiple Test matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand shortly after the local competition, and Jaiswal will be looking to be at the top of his game for the series.
“I am putting a lot of effort into the nets in preparation for the Bangladesh series and the Duleep Trophy. Setting personal targets isn’t necessary because, as everybody who plays cricket knows, you have to be persistent and never stop honing your craft, according to Jaiswal.
The handsome left-hand opener also discussed the importance of domestic competitions like the Irani Trophy and the Duleep Trophy in assisting players in getting ready for overseas assignments. He disclosed that these competitions are competitive in nature. Consequently, he acquired self-assurance and endeavoured to stay within his comfort zone.
“It gives me a lot of confidence and helps me prepare for those (international) games. Domestic tournaments like the Duleep Trophy and Irani Trophy are very important games.” I make an effort to stay in my comfort zone and help the team win. Prior to a Test series, it is highly beneficial for you to play such competitive games and you can learn a lot from competitions like the Duleep Trophy,” he continued.
