WPL 2023: Gujarat Giants reveal jersey before debut.

Teams have started presenting their kits for the inaugural Women’s Premier League, the main women’s T20 competition. Gujarat Giants unveiled their gear on February 26 after Mumbai Indians did on February 25.

Giants tweeted a jersey design video. “Our inaugural @wplt20 jersey. “The gorgeous shirt represents the zeal & enthusiasm of our lionesses who are eager to give it their best in the first-ever season!” the tweet stated.

Orange jerseys with a lioness on the right show their players’ passion. The back side has the name of Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner, which may indicate that Gardner will captain the Giants in the debut season.

On February 25, the Giants held their first training session for the inaugural WPL season.

The opener pits Gujarat Giants against Mumbai Indians.
Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians will play the first WPL match at DY Patil Stadium on March 4.

Five franchises will play each other twice in the league stage at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
The team with the most points will qualify for the final, while the second and third-place teams will play in the Eliminator. Second finalist: eliminator winner.
