With the UPT20 about to begin, Uttar Pradesh is gripped by a cricket fever.

Kanpur, August 29 2023: The stage has been prepared for the inaugural UPT20 edition, which will be a historic event for cricket in Uttar Pradesh and beyond India. The UPT20 held at the Green Park International Stadium promises to be a memorable extravaganza of cricketing talent and rivalry with six powerhouse franchises competing for supremacy: Gorakhpur Lions, Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Lucknow Falcons, Meerut Mavericks, and Noida Super Kings. The competition gets underway on August 30 and the championship game is set for September 16.

The UPT20 has greater significance than just the thrill of T20, the most exciting format of the game, by giving the state’s top cricketers a chance to grow, improve, and shine on a national stage. This tournament is more than just a game of talent; it’s a place where young cricketers can learn from seasoned players, soaking up their knowledge and honing their craft.

The UPT20 is more than just a competition between six teams; it aims to develop Uttar Pradesh’s cricketing talent. Our players are incredibly gifted, and this competition aims to showcase that talent.

It will be an exciting match when Kanpur Superstars and Noida Super Kings square off. The stakes are bigger than ever with top players on each team. Akshdeep Nath and Ankit Rajpoot are a potent pair for Kanpur Superstars, while Noida Super Kings have the explosive Nitish Rana and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, India’s best fast bowler

Akshdeep Nath of the home team remarked,   “It’s a historic moment for UP cricket, and we are thrilled to be a part of this inaugural journey,” prior to the first game. We are excited to give our best effort on the field thanks to our thorough training and the team’s good player combination.

We are definitely excited for the event, Ankit Rajpoot added, echoing his teammate’s comments. We have a great season ahead of us because the team has been practicing hard and has a high level of morale.
