On June 15, 2023, the new season of the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) will begin. The event also recently held its auction, where over 200 players who wanted to play in the tournament went under the hammer.
Six teams will compete against each other for the prized title in a way that is similar to the way the Indian Premier League (IPL) works. There will be a total of 19 games in the action, including the rounds of 16.
The top four teams will move on to the playoffs. The top two teams will play each other in Qualifier 1, and the winner will move on to the final match. The person who comes in last in Qualifier 1 will move on to Qualifier 2. Also, the third- and fourth-place teams will play each other in the eliminator. The winner of the eliminator will play the loss of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 for a spot in the final.
The tournament’s most important match is set for June 29. The teams are getting ready for the tournament, and fans in India can’t wait to find out where the event will be shown.
On June 15, Puneri Bappa will play the Kolhapur Tuskers in the tournament’s first game of the season. Also, all of the games will be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. There will be a lot of top players in the event, including Ruturaj Gaikwas, Kedar Jadhav, Rahul Tripathi, and R. Hangargekar. Soon, the game will start, and it will be interesting to see which team wins.
