What Virat Kohli Said After Scoring His First Century in Over a Thousand Days “Dedicated To Anushka, Vamika”

In the Asia Cup match between India and Afghanistan, Virat Kohli hit 122 not out.

Thursday was a very memorable day for Virat Kohli and all of his legions of devoted followers around the world. Because, after a wait of more than a thousand days, Kohli finally achieved his first century in international competition. Kohli faced Afghanistan in a match for the Asia Cup and scored 122 not out off of 61 balls, hitting 12 fours and six sixes in the process.

He had strike-rate of 200.00. Prior to this century, Kohli had not achieved the triple-figure mark since his match against Bangladesh in November of 2019. Kohli has received criticism over the course of the past few months for his lacklustre performance; however, his performance in the Asia Cup has silenced all of his critics.

“The past two and a half years have been quite educational for me. In November, I will officially enter my 34th year of life. Therefore, those celebrations belong to the annals of history. In point of fact, I was somewhat taken aback. This was a format in which I did not anticipate a significant amount.

I have been putting in a lot of effort, and this is a very memorable occasion not only for myself but also for the team “After scoring a century, Virat Kohli made this statement.

“It was the result of the accumulation of a great many things. The personnel has been welcoming and accommodating. It allowed me some breathing room to work on my game. I am aware that there was a lot happening on the surface of my body. They truly helped me keep the proper perspective.”

Kohli paid tribute to his wife Anushka and daughter Vamika by naming his century after them. “During the celebration, I also kissed the ring that was on my finger. You see me standing here because of all the things that have been put into perspective by one person, and that person is Anushka. She has stood by me through all of these challenging moments.

This hundred is dedicated to her as well as our daughter Vamika, who is only a little bit younger “he remarked.

According to Virat Kohli, the vacation he took following the Tour of England was really beneficial to his performance going forward. “I picked up a lot of useful information during my time away from the competition.

When I got home, I wasn’t as frantic as I had been. After having a break for six weeks, I felt revitalised. It dawned on me how exhausted I actually was. This hiatus gave me the opportunity to start enjoying the game again, which is something that competitiveness doesn’t let “Kohli stated.
