During IPL or international matches, Team India captain Rohit Sharma is widely renowned for his humorous remarks, many of which have gone viral on stump-mic. Not even during the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 match in Antigua between Bangladesh and India was he seen chatting with a bowler in a video that went viral.
The incident took place when, in the later half of their innings, Bangladesh’s all-rounder Mahmudullah, facing an enormous task before of him, moved to the middle. Rohit, who was standing behind the stumps, seemed to be urging the bowler to give the batsman some opportunities to make some shots, because the batter had only recently come into the crease.

India achieved the highest T20I total at the venue with a score of 196-4 in 20 overs, as the Men in Blue showcased their dominance in the last overs. Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Virat Kohli, the top-order batters, contributed some rapid hits. The best collaboration, though, came from Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube, who combined for 53 off 34 deliveries.
Pandya achieved 50 without dropping a game and achieved that milestone in the final delivery of the innings, requiring just 27 balls. Pandya had previously scored 32 runs in 24 deliveries while facing Afghanistan. Tanzim Hasan, with a 4-0-32-2 record, was Bangladesh’s best bowler.
