Zaheer Khan, Mohammad Kaif, and VVS Laxman, all formerly of India’s national cricket team, met with John Wright, who had previously served in the role of national coach, in New Zealand.
During the years 2000–2005, when Wright was India’s coach, the country’s cricket team turned in some extremely impressive performances, including a run to the final of the ODI World Cup in 2003. Wright left his job as India’s coach in 2005.
After reuniting with Wright in New Zealand, the three Indians posted images of their get-together on social media, which was started by Kaif.
“Look who we got to know while we were in New Zealand! Mr. John Wright is a kind, wise, and modest individual. We reminisced about the good old days, caught each other up on our lives, and made fun of him. Now is the time to sell the car you’ve had for twenty years, coach “suggested Kaif when she was tweeting the photographs to her followers.

It is important to remember that in 2001, India won a historic Test series at home against an all-conquering Australian team captained by Steve Waugh while Wright was their coach. This victory gave India a 2-1 series victory.
In addition, the team finished with a draw in the test series played in England and Australia, as well as wins in the test matches played in West Indies and Zimbabwe.
The three Indians were recently in New Zealand as part of the white-ball tour that was being conducted by the Indian team, and they took advantage of the opportunity to meet Wright. During India’s recently finished tour of New Zealand, Zaheer Khan and Kaif were a part of the commentary panel. Laxman, on the other hand, served as the stand-in coach of the national cricket team.
India won the Twenty20 International (T20I) series against New Zealand by a score of 1-0. The first game was called off because of weather, but India went on to win the second game by a score of 65 runs.
The DLS method was employed because of rain that occurred in the middle of the third and final game, which led to the game ending in a tie.
After that, the teams competed in a one-day international series consisting of three matches, which was won by the hosts 1-0. The Blackcaps were victorious in the first game by a score of 7 wickets, however the second and third games had to be called off due to weather.
