In a sincere letter to his wife Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli thanked her for always keeping him grounded. The talisman batter has experienced many highs and lows over his remarkable career, but his wife’s support has always been there.
Before facing South Africa in the finals on June 29, Kohli’s T20 World Cup campaign with the willow wasn’t all that fantastic. Nevertheless, the former captain of India struck a hardy 76 off 59 balls, striking six fours and two sixes, against South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The renowned cricket player was named Player of the encounter after India prevailed in the suspenseful encounter by a margin of seven runs.
The 35-year-old batter thanked Anushka on Instagram and shared his heartfelt thanks following India’s victory in the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean.
“My love, without you, not a single one of things could possibly happen. You always tell it how it is, without reservation, and you keep me grounded and humble. I am really very thankful to you. You and I both share equal credit for this win. With a picture of the duo, Kohli posted on Instagram, saying, “Thank you and I love you for being YOU @anushkasharma.”

Anushka had earlier shared her joy on Instagram in response to India’s historic victory, stating that her daughter Vamika had asked if all the Indian players who had been sobbing since the win had someone to hug.
“Our daughter’s main worry after watching the players cry on TV was whether or not they had someone to cuddle them. Yes, 1.5 billion people gave them hugs, my sweetie. What an incredible triumph and what a historical feat! HURRAH – MAJOR CONGRATS! Written by Anushka.
