Virat Kohli wishes the Indian women’s cricket team Wishing them lots of luck for their match against Australia at the CWG 2022

The Indian women’s cricket team would take against Australia at Edgbaston on Friday to open play at the Commonwealth Games.

At the Commonwealth Games, the Indian women’s cricket team will play their opening match against Australia on Friday at Edgbaston, Birmingham. In Group A, the Indian squad is paired with Barbados, Australia, and Pakistan. Virat Kohli wished the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team well for the whole match before their matchup with Australia.

“My warmest wishes to the Indian women’s cricket team along with all our athletes competing at the Commonwealth Games,” Kohli said on Twitter.

Rishabh Pant, a batter and wicketkeeper, also sent his best wishes to the Indian cricket squad for the Commonwealth Games.

 

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur gave a virtual news conference on the day before the competition to discuss the team’s preparation.

At a virtual press conference on Thursday, Harmanpreet responded to a question about playing against Australia ,  This time the things are looking really positive, we will try to do our best.”

Speaking further about the next match against Australia, Harmanpreet said: “See, for us, all the teams matter. When competing in a tournament like this, winning every game is crucial. The first game is usually crucial since you need to establish the team’s attitude. All teams have strategies in place, but the key is to focus on each game individually.

The Indian captain remarked of living in the Games Village: “Staying in the village is different from previous competitions we play. We are loving the experience, but you must always take your card with you since without it, no one will be able to identify you.
