Cricket player Deep Dasgupta recently discussed his thoughts on the forthcoming match in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, concentrating in particular on Virat Kohli incredible form and the difficulties England’s bowling attack presents. Dasgupta underlined that, given the way Virat Kohli has been batting, it doesn’t appear that any bowler from another team or England poses a serious threat to him.
He did concede, though, that England’s performance was unpredictable and that, as underdogs, they might be a more fearsome opponent. In addition, Dasgupta shared his optimism that Kohli would record his 49th and 50th centuries at the World Cup—a forecast he had made prior to the competition. Dasgupta feels that these benchmarks will soon be reached given Kohli’s current form and his will to win games for India.
Deepdas Gupta revealed who will pose the most threat to Virat Kohli in an exclusive interview with Star Sports.
He stated, “Looking at the way Virat has been batting, at the moment it doesn’t look like any English bowlers or bowlers from any other team are a threat to him.” Regarding England’s bowling in particular, they haven’t exactly bowled well or regularly lately.
I don’t see any threat from England because I believe that one of their main problems in the World Cup has been their inability to penetrate and their lackluster bowling. However, bear in mind that even though England was off-form during the tournament and nearly eliminated, their lack of anything to lose in this scenario could make them even more dangerous. Since they currently have nothing to lose in this competition. England may be more dangerous now because they have nothing to lose and are in this position. Look, given the way Virat has been batting lately, it doesn’t appear that any English or other bowler poses a threat to him.
“See, I will obviously want India to win 6 out of 6 games and simultaneously Virat Kohli to make his 49th century because my prediction before this tournament was that Virat will make his 50th century while playing this world cup only,” Dasgupta said when asked if Virat Kohli would be able to make both his 49th and 50th centuries during the World Cup.
I hope that it aged nicely because I already expressed that strain in my imagination. However, given his form and performance style, it’s only a matter of time. He came very close to scoring his 49th century in the previous game. He will now attempt to do so against England, and even if he fails, he will undoubtedly make up for it in the next one. What matters most, though, is that he is out there chasing totals and making sure the team wins. In the process, he will undoubtedly score his 49th and 50th centuries.”
