Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli and umpire Richard Kettleborough were seen laughing together during India’s bowling on Saturday during the start of the first Test between India and Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
A popular video showed the 35-year-old and Kettleborough having a joyful chat. A contentious LBW ruling involving the same couple was made just one day prior to the conversation.

Bangladesh scored 158/4 at the close of the third day
Replays revealed that there was a slight inside edge before the ball hit Kohli’s pads, refuting Kettleborough’s earlier decision to declare Kohli out LBW. After a quick discussion with his batting partner Shubman Gill, the batsman decided not to use the judgement Review System (DRS), even though he may have had the judgement reversed.
In this Test match, Virat Kohli’s form has been lacking
Just six runs were scored in the first inning by him, and seventeen in the second. Given that he is making his Test cricket comeback after missing the five-match series against England earlier this year owing to personal reasons, these low scores are especially noteworthy.

Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant’s centuries helped India set a daunting 515-run target for Bangladesh. After beginning their chase, the tourists finished Day 3 with a score of 158/4. Najmul Hossain Shanto (51*) and Shakib Al Hasan (5*) would lead the batsmen again the next day.
