Virat Kohli, on Babar Azam: “There is respect, he is always keen to learn.”

Virat Kohli stated that he has always had nice chats with Babar Azam, and the Pakistan skipper is always eager to learn, in reference to India’s next match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022.

Fans of the sport of cricket were treated to another contest between India and Pakistan that left them on the edge of their seats during the Asia Cup Super 4 match on Sunday. The Indian team was unable to salvage a positive result from the match, which they played against their most bitter adversaries and ended up losing by five wickets.

Even though the competition is quite fierce and there is a lot of excitement surrounding it, the players from both countries still maintain a good connection with one another, which always helps to elevate the competitive spirit of the sport. Virat Kohli, a star batter for India, praised Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s team, on Sunday, calling him a “gifted player” who is always eager to learn more.

Kohli made these remarks in the post-match press conference: “I have always enjoyed my interactions with Babar Azam because he is such a kind and kind person. Because of our age difference, I cannot confirm that we are related. On the other hand, there is respect. At all times, respect is shown. He is always eager to gain new knowledge. I have stated this fact in the past; after the World Cup in 2019, he discussed with me how to go with various matters, and he has always been eager to learn new things. Therefore, it should not come as a surprise that he is playing in such a manner across all game forms. It should come as no surprise that he is a tremendously talented player.”

“It is always a pleasure to chat with him and the other guys in the group. They are all really kind, they get along well with all of us, and they are friendly with each and every one of us. Since the previous season, I have had no doubt in my mind that there is respect on both sides for one another’s squads. We are a really polite squad despite the fact that we are quite competitive “he continued.

During the current Asia Cup, Babar has not been performing up to his usual standards. In the three games that have been played so far, he has collected a total of 10, 9, and 14 runs.

During the Asia Cup Super 4 match, India reached 181 for 7 thanks to a magnificent innings of 60 from Virat Kohli off of just 44 deliveries. This, combined with an aggressive start from openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, was what pushed India to this score.

Mohammad Rizwan (71 runs off 51 balls) and Mohammad Nawaz (42 runs off 20 balls) set up Pakistan’s chase flawlessly, and Pakistan ended up winning with one delivery to spare. Despite this, it was not enough for Pakistan to win.
