Tuesday saw the arrival of famous Indian batsman Virat Kohli in Kanpur ahead of the second Test match against Bangladesh. Both sides have begun to arrive in Kanpur ahead of the second Test, which is slated to commence on September 27.
Following India’s thrilling 280-run victory in the opening Test match in Chennai, Kohli, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, and head coach Gautam Gambhir arrived in the city. Fans and staff went crazy when the three arrived at the team hotel because they were so excited to see their cricketing idols.
Upon arriving at the team hotel in Kanpur, a large number of supporters and hotel guests were vying for a glimpse of their preferred cricket player. The 35-year-old was encircled by people as soon as he walked into the lobby, and hotel employees seized the chance to say hello to the legendary cricket player. The new arrival from Delhi was greeted with a tilak ceremony and given presents, flowers, and rudraksh.
When one employee held out his hand for a handshake and Kohli politely accepted a bouquet from him, the senior batter, with a bag in one hand and a bouquet in the other, was compelled to decline and say, “Sir, do hi haath hain” (Sir, I only have two hands).

In the Chennai Test, Virat Kohli scored 23 runs.
With low scores of 6 and 17, respectively, the star hitter had a dismal outing in the Chennai Test. In his lone Test match at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium, against New Zealand in 2021, he amassed 27 runs in two innings.
