The team for the forthcoming Ranji Trophy has been announced by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, or UPCA. The UP team’s debut match versus Bengal is scheduled for October 11 at Lucknow’s Ekana International Cricket Stadium.
The UPCA selection committee chose a strong group of 22 players, six of them were reserve players. It is noteworthy that due to his foreign engagements, Rinku Singh would not be available for the Ranji Trophy’s first round.
Priyam Garg, Nitish Rana, and Akshdeep Nath, among others, will compete for Uttar Pradesh in the competition. The man selected to lead the side is Aryan Juyal. Kuldeep Yadav, Dhruv Jurel, and veteran pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar have also not been included in the squad. While Kuldeep and Dhruv are anticipated to play shortly for India in the forthcoming three-game Test series against New Zealand, Bhuvaneshwar wants to concentrate just on white-ball cricket.
Regarding captain Juyal, the 22-year-old recently discussed the duties that come with guiding Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy.
“I’ve been handed a significant duty. I captained a match last season against Kerala in which I scored a century and the United Province came out on top.

The team has more youthful players this time around, so we’ll try our hardest with a different strategy,” Juyal told the Times of India.
