Todd Murphy, an off-spinner from Australia, will play for County Championship team Durham in June and July in preparation for the Ashes in England.

The spinner, who was born in Victoria, is expected to play at the start of the season before being freed if he is selected for the Ashes team. Notable players include Steve Smith, who will play three games for Sussex, Marnus Labuschagne, who will play for Glamorgan, and Michael Neser, who will play for Wales.
