Following the success of the first two seasons of the Legends League Cricket, the league will return with the following season on February 27, 2023, and it will be played in both Qatar and Oman throughout that time period.
The competition would be known as the LLC Masters, and it would involve three different teams: the India Maharajas, the Asia Lions, and the World Giants.
The upcoming season of Legends League Cricket will be a repeat of the first season, which featured former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, and England, among other cricket nations, divided into three teams representing India, Asia, and the rest of the world. While the recently concluded season 2 of Legends League Cricket featured four franchise-owned teams with 85 legends and was played in India, the upcoming season will be identical to the first season.
Harbhajan Singh made the following statement: “I enjoyed to be in the Cricket field with Manipal Tigers playing LLC-2 and it would be fantastic to go back into the field with the next LLC Masters.”
Harbhajan was able to guide the India Maharajas to victory against the World Giants squad in the exhibition match that was held in Kolkata as a part of the second season’s celebration of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
Irfan Pathan stated, “I am ecstatic to share the news that I will be returning to action in the Legends League Cricket in the month of February. I will be competing for Team India this time, so naturally I am really excited for the event.”
Shane Watson commented that he had a good time playing for the Bhilwara Kings in September and October, and that he is currently preparing to play for the World squad in the LLC Masters tournament.
The Legends League Cricket’s Co-Founder and CEO, Raman Raheja, was quoted as saying, “Following a tremendously fruitful run in the second season of Legends League Cricket, it gives us great pleasure to announce that we will be competing once again for the title of LLC Masters.
We were honoured to get invitations from both Qatar and Oman, and so, we will be spending the season in both Doha and Muscat.”
“In contrast to the previous season of Franchise Cricket, the upcoming season will include over sixty of the game’s best players, many of whom are considered to be Legends of Cricket. However, this time around, they will be competing for their respective countries.
Players from India, Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, amongst others, are going to be participating in the LLC Masters. Some of these players include Gambhir, Gayle, Harbhajan, Watson, and Yusuf Pathan “he added.
