On the third day of the second unofficial Test match, India A put themselves in a commanding position by scoring a massive first-innings total of 562 and then reduced Bangladesh A to 49 for two at the end of play on Thursday. This left India A in a position to win the match easily.
The visitors have a lead of 261 runs going into the last day of the match, and they will try to win by innings. At the end of the fifth-to-last day of play, Shadman Islam had scored 22 runs, while Mominul Haque had reached only 4.
Zakir Hasan, who was given a first-ever call-up for the forthcoming first Test against India, was dismissed for 12 runs, while Mahmudul Hasan Joy was also out, this time for 10 runs.
For India A, the bowlers who took the most wickets were Saurabh Kumar (1/10) and Umesh Yadav (1/16).
