The One-Day International Team of the Year 2022 has been selected by the International Cricket Council (ICC). There are a total of two Indians that made the cut, but batting stalwarts like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were not included since there was not enough room for them.
The only Indian hitter to be selected was Shreyas Iyer, and Mohammed Siraj was the only Indian bowler to be selected. Shreyas Iyer was the only Indian batter to be selected.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) selected Babar Azam, the current captain of Pakistan, to lead the side.
Babar, who has been in the public eye due to his and the Pakistan team’s terrible results, concluded the previous year with 679 runs at a staggering average of 84.87 runs per game. He will lead the ICC’s One-Day International Team of the Year 2022 as captain.
The further contains players from different countries, such as Travis Head from Australia, Shai Hope from the West Indies, Shreyas Iyer from India, and Tom Latham from New Zealand.
Iyer finished the previous year as India’s leading run-scorer in the format, accumulating 724 runs at an average of 55.69 over the course of 17 matches.
The fact that Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder Sikandar Raza was also able to make the squad was a source of great pride for the country. Raza scored a total of 645 runs with an average of 49.61 and a strike rate of 87.16. His scores included two fifty-plus scores as well as three hundred-plus scores.
Raza helped with the ball as well, taking eight wickets while allowing almost five runs per over to be scored against him.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh, who was one of the all-rounders with the best consistency in one-day international cricket in 2017, came up farther down the list.
His finest performance for the Bangla Tigers was a four-for-twenty-nine wicket haul that he accomplished while collecting a total of 24 wickets over the course of 15 matches. Mehidy’s incredible batting performance resulted in 330 runs scored at an astounding average of 66, including one century and one fifty.

Siraj participated in 15 matches and took 24 wickets in total. The rate at which he took wickets was 4.62 runs per over.
