In the brief three years of his international career, young pacer Arshdeep Singh of India has experienced both highs and lows. He received criticism for his fielding and bowling at the 2022 T20 World Cup, but the 25-year-old never gave up on himself. He returned for the 2024 competition, sharing the lead in wickets taken with Fazalhaq Farooqi.
He was an integral component of India’s victory in the competition, and he’s been called up to the ODI team for the next series against Sri Lanka. Before that, Arshdeep disclosed that he finds inspiration in people, whether it is from classmates or professors or from daily bets. He encouraged all of the young people to put in a lot of effort and have faith in the process as part of his guidance.
“Everyone inspires me as a player, whether it’s a professor, a student who excels in class, or a daily wager. I strive to be inspired by those who are succeeding in life. The young people’s takeaway is to keep doing their best while managing what they can. Keep up the good work. Arshdeep told reporters following his felicitation by Chandigarh University, “You will reap the rewards of your diligent labour.”
